Arbeloa should play the right side of a defensive three with Byram next to him but without the pressure of reliance. They can take it in turns to kick Sanchez to prolong the bookings.

How about trying Fernandes at the back with Kouyate, he has height and better still pace? Our defence is crap and ideally both Oxford and Burke would be in if not on loan. The only options we now have are far too slow so could this work? (Sits back for the mud slinging!!)

The midfield is our biggest problem to cut out the service and ability of teams to advance on our back 3 or 4 in the first place.
Lots of people wanted Kouyate in there but yet again he failed to do the tracking back and pressing along with the rest in there
Noble, Fernandes and or Nordvtveit in a 5 man midfield for me. Stick Ayew out wide left if he plays. Lanzini will be wasted if we don't get possession but would prefer him to Ayew. Antonio up top and prepared to help in midfield to stifle the Gooners who love to play pretty triangles in the middle of the park. All negative but we ain't got the legs or strength to outplay them. We need numbers and a plan to stop them. Being Carroll on late in the game.

Not risking Antonio, Swansea is the bigger game. Also tempted to play Fletcher to be more of a outlet in the channels rather then the static Carroll. AC to come on last 20 if theres a chance of getting something out the game. Fonte only playing as theres no-one else
